What Were You Wearing? is an art exhibit based on student-survivor descriptions of the clothes they were wearing during their sexual assault. These stories were collected from survivors by Jen Brockman and Dr. Mary Wyandt-Hiebert at the University of Arkansas in 2013. The OSU exhibit curators have interpreted and recreated these outfits based on these survivors’ experiences. As you navigate the exhibit, you will be able to view our interpretations of the outfits and listen to voice actors read the survivors’ accounts. In addition to readings in English, we asked our multi-lingual voice actors to translate stories into other languages. Please take time to read about the exhibit’s history and intent, and find support and advocacy resources for survivors and allies.
